About

Special Education Services is a federally funded Community Parent Resource Center (CPRC); the only one of its sort in the state of Ohio. As a CPRC, Special Education is dedicated to helping families of children with special needs ensure that their children optimize their public educational opportunities. Because these children are challenged with a myriad of learning disabilities the educational process is wrought with difficulties. Many times educational professionals are not aware of the unique learning difficulties of these children and parents are not well-equipped to advocate for the educational rights of their children. Special Education provides training and support for families and professionals that enhances their understanding of their rights as it relates to the education of “our special kids!”

The purpose of this blog is to be the premier resource for families of children with special needs and for the professionals (educational and service) who serve these children and families. What you can expect to find at this blog is information on a variety of issues that relate to the educational rights of children with special needs (i.e. learning disabilities).
