Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder is a neurological condition related, in part, to the brain’s chemistry and anatomy. ADHD manifests itself as a persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity that occurs more frequently and more severely than is typically observed in people at comparable levels of development. ADHD begins in childhood and can persist into adulthood as well. While some children outgrow ADHD, about 60% continue to have symptoms into adulthood.

My 28 year old son needs help. All throughout school, he was able to make all A’s because of his intellect. He was prone to procrastination and perfection. We never connected this to ADD, but I am unravelling all this as he matures into adulthood and is having trouble coping in jobs and in life. He needs a good doctor in New York City. I have sent my younger son to enough doctors for similar problem that i know you need an excellent doctor. Any suggestions?
I am encouraging him to return home (Atlanta, Ga.) to spend some time working on his problem so if anyone has any drs. in Atl. that they would recommend, that would be appreciated, as well.
Thanks you for any advice. He is desperate for help.
